How did you get involved in the sport of adventure racing?
I was looking for a challenge beyond Olympic distance triathlons, and wanted something that would take me into the amazing wilderness areas of Washington State

Whitewater kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, road biking, swimming, snow skiing, squash, reading, travel
What do you enjoy most about adventure racing?
The combination of physical and intellectual challenges, the sense of teamwork
What is the one thing you always carry with you in a race?
My Polar S625x watch / altimeter
What would you like to see happen in adventure racing in the future?
The introduction of large problems involving team based solutions: “Get over everyone over this wall using this barrel, these boards, this rope, and what is in your packs. No one may touch the water obstacle in front of the wall…”
